Dental Malpractice
Many people dislike going to the dentist, and there are some who have a level of “dental phobia.” However, most people simply see it as something they need to do twice a year if they want their oral health to be in good shape. But, there are occasions where things go wrong while the patient is in the dental chair that is not the patient’s fault at all. And sometimes these dental errors can have a lasting, or even life-changing, result.
The number of dental malpractice claims, or negligent dental care, has been increasing. There are many ways in which you can be harmed by substandard care or mistakes made by your dentist:
This type of malpractice seems especially egregious due to the level of trust we have for those performing dental work on us. After all, letting someone put a drill while we’re conscious, can take an act of willpower we may not usually have.
